Four steps, start to finish
After hail, the downspouts and gutters are read first, and a written quote comes before any work.
Tell us what you found
The address, and what you are seeing: granules at the downspouts, a dented gutter, shingles in the yard, a stain on a ceiling.
The ground, then the roof
Downspouts, gutters and fascia first, because they show where to look. Then the roof slope by slope, and the attic where there is one.
A written account and quote
What the storm hit, what it did not, and the repair priced on its own. Anything that can wait is written down as such.
The work, then the walkaround
Shingles woven in, metal renewed rather than smeared with sealant, photographs before and after.
The prices, in one place

What to check from the yard after hail, before a roofer arrives
Every one of these is done from the ground, and every one of them narrows the job.
Look at the foot of each downspout
Shingle granules look like coarse dark sand.
Check gutters, fascia and vents for dents
Metal and painted wood dent where shingles only bruise. Dents on one side of the house point at the slopes that faced the storm.
Note how big the hail was
A Sherman roofer treats hail an inch or bigger as the cue to have a roof looked at. A photograph of a stone beside a coin helps.
Catch any water inside and photograph it
A bucket under the drip, belongings moved, photographs of the stain.
Hail sets the roofing calendar here
Worth knowing before you start calling around, because the weeks after a storm are the worst weeks to be choosing.
Sherman's storms come in clusters. In March 2025 tennis-ball hail fell across the city in one night; that September, wind and hail hit southeast Sherman. After a night like that, every roof on the same streets took the same storm, and every roofer in Texoma gets called at once.
That is why the ground read matters. Granules at the downspouts and dents in the gutters let you judge your own urgency the next morning: water coming in is a same-day call, a dry ceiling and a little grit can wait for a booking without getting worse.
- Active leaks covered the same day where light and weather allow
- Storm repairs booked in order of water coming in
- Temporary cover quoted separately from the permanent repair
- A written account of the storm damage with every quote
